She highlighted the opportunities for FM adoption in Africa saying even with limited data on FM activities the Global FM Market Report 2018, the report indicates that Africa has excellent growth potential, mainly due to the opportunity to grow from its small base and increasing outsourcing trends. The market size in Africa for FM is estimated at for Total FM at $17.6 billion ( US dollars). A conference such as this one creates an opportunity to plan for adoption of FM across the continent. In her role as the EuroFM Ambassador for Botswana she aims to increase Facilities Management visibility and professionalisation of this industry, support implementation of UN sustainable developments initiatives adopted by EuroFM, collaborate reporting of local projects and initiatives in the FM industry such as research, ISO standards adoption and localisation, and FM policy development. Working with the local Facilities Management Association, work towards setting up Botswana IFMA Chapter. The event will give participants a platform to learn new strategies for FM alignment to business goals, to network, share business ideas, and global business opportunities with global leaders.
